We are looking for a production assistant to help us deliver the exciting shoots we have scheduled.
The role responsibilities include:
- Ability to take a shoot brief from the Head of Content and prioritise and manage ‘to-do’ list.
- Working with Heads of Content on financial budgets.
- Negotiate competitive rates with suppliers across each production.
- Assisting in the organisation of all shoots including overseas, on both small and large-scale projects.
- Ensure that all shoots are produced as efficiently as possible and remain in budget. Communicate any risks to the budget prior to spend.
- Plan, prioritise and manage workloads across multiple productions at any one time.
- Book all logistics and travel.
- Book creative teams, transportation, visas, carnets.
- Book equipment for all crew and departments.
- Generate call sheets.
- Produce on set including overseas (when needed).
- Location sourcing
- Model and talent sourcing
- Prop and wardrobe sourcing
- Organising and maintain up to date contacts and production database.
- On set assisting to Art Director
- On set catering, styling assisting, ensuring locations are tidy and clean after shoots.
Essential skills, experience and qualifications
- Ability to manage shoot productions both in studio and on location.
- The ability to manage a heavy workload under pressure by effectively prioritising, planning ahead and overseeing multiple tasks at any one time.
- Knowledge of budgeting and planning
- Confidence in sourcing relevant industry suppliers.
- Have a positive, can-do outlook, use initiative and be proactive in everything you do.
- Communicate effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Confidence to ask questions / ask for help.
- Has the ability to negotiate in order to reach the best possible outcome for the company.
- A willingness to travel if needed and times at short notice.
- Confidence to use social media to document BTS and job postings.
- Numerical and IT skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience working on a production crew is welcome, though not essential, evidence of how you have implemented the required skills in previous roles is important.
